The Crucible and Infernorator were created by the design team from Firebrand in Queenstown, New Zealand. Led by designer Ed Cruikshank known for his extraordinary custom furniture, Firebrand creates ingenious, multi-functional products using a unique combination of international industrial design expertise, kiwi ingenuity and manufacturing know-how.
Their designs are always innovative and enduring - super practical objects cleverly conceived and carefully built to last. Functional, striking, well-made and always imbued with a sense of humour and playfulness.
Developed over several years Crucible has lived up to its name - becoming the melting pot of ideas and creativity where the team gather to test and develop their designs, prepare food and stoke their imaginations under a starry Central Otago sky.
